When University of Georgia student Kedar Chambers registered for the NRF Foundation Student Program 2019, he had no idea how he could use his business management and supply chain degree in the retail industry.

“Before the event, I hadn’t considered a career in retail,” Chambers says. “This experience opened my eyes to the excitement of the retail industry.”

During the career fair at the Student Program, Chambers connected with Midwest supercenter chain Meijer and landed an internship in retail operations.

Chambers likes that his internship requires leadership and challenges him to constantly innovate and improve. “Learning how much the field of supply chain is growing and how new technologies are advancing the retail industry further,” Chambers says,” it’s a fantastic opportunity.”
