For more than 100 years, the National Retail Federation has recognized an individual who has served the industry with distinction throughout their career.
During the 2022 NRF Foundation Honors, NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay will introduce the surprise celebrity guest who will then present The Visionary award to Brian Cornell, Target’s board chairman and CEO.
“Brian Cornell’s purpose-driven leadership and strategic vision reflect an unwavering commitment to his team, and a keen ability to cut through the noise and truly understand what American families want and need,” Shay says. “He is an inspiring and innovative leader committed to making a positive impact inside and outside his company. His career and servant leadership are exemplary of why The Visionary award was created.”
In addition to recognizing The Visionary, the NRF Foundation Honors celebrates The List of People Shaping Retail’s Future and a community partner that is making a difference in their community with NRF Foundation retail skills training. And the evening features the announcements of the recipients of the NRF Foundation’s undergraduate scholarships.
